App Store Description

The Ontario Museum of History and Art presents the past, present and future of water conservation and management. Water Keepers is a casual educational interactive experience. Players will gain insight into the complexity of water management (both historical and present day) as the subject matter is revealed through choose-your-own-adventure activities and puzzle solving.

The experience is designed to present and reinforce Common Core/Next Gen Science standards for students ranging from elementary through high school. Players will travel through time to help three characters solve their water problems by listening to their issues, recommending solutions and sometimes taking a hands-on approach.

Users will choose one character to assist:

•Justin Rousseau is a citrus grower from the 1880’s. Justin’s thirsty crops need more water quickly. Help guide him to a practical solution as he negotiates with neighboring orchards and city water systems. You may even have to dig a ditch or two.

•Meet Dani Silva, a modern day Water Quality Manager with modern day problems. She does her best to keep clean water flowing to city residents. But water treatment is a complex subject. Perhaps you can make some recommendations.

• Meet Miray Greene, a water engineer of the near future. Help Miray develop a water conservation program and a digital outreach campaign to inform and motivate citizens.
