App Store Description

Well fed Kids is an innovative App for parents with the latest information on how to physically and emotionally nurture your kids. And how to survive the mine field of challenges we face when raising our children from birth to the teenage years in the fast paced 21st century. Parents often feel isolated so Well Fed Kids – Talking All Things Parenting, is a much-needed resource for parents.
Well Fed Kids in its easy to use format, explores an array of topics, interviews and research drawing on the experience and wisdom of other parents and professionals. It combines strategies and practical tools for parents to gain knowledge and form their own solutions for their individual family. The modern family looks very different today so we’re bringing everyone in on the conversation, same sex couples, single parents, second time-round parents.

No topic is taboo! You’ll find Interviews, blogs, podcasts, recipes, videos, developmental charts and food charts.

Example topics include Mindful Attention, Active Listening and Separating Behaviour from Self Worth. Your child’s diet has a huge effect on their behaviour and growth so topics from “Talking all Things Poo” (and why digestive health is important), “Foods to Nourish the Brain”, “Cooking with Kids”, “Understanding Sugar”, “Homemade Fast Food” provide tangible real life advice.
Why we made this App! Babies are not born with an instruction manual or rulebook and there’s no one size fits all approach. The landscape for kids today is very different than it was in previous generations and we live in a complicated, fast changing world. As parents, we know our children the best but often we feel stuck, not knowing how to move forward or what to do next. The Well Fed Kids App will inspire and guide you with its useful content and strategies.

Research shows there’s far too much judgment within the parenting arena and that’s without the weight of our own personal, self-inflicted guilt. There are very few resources available to support, connect and empower parents. This app is a one-stop shop to share the load and find those tips to create a happy, healthy and progressive family life.

Families face a lot of challenges: divorce, an absent parent, business, financial pressures, lack of communication, negative media influences, materialism and that’s the tip of the ice-berg. Each of these factors takes a toll, research suggests that:
• Approximately half of today’s two-parent families, both now work full time and feel that both their work and home life suffer. They also report finding parenting tiring and stressful, rather than enjoyable and rewarding. (Pew Research Center Nov.2015)
• Depression affects 10% of the adult population. (CDC)
• For every 2.4 marriages in 2011, there was one divorce. (U.S. Census Department)
