This is an app that gives information about the elements that describe Wexford Harbour. It presents up to the minute weather observations, tide state, tide forecast, charts, interactive history maps and satellite imagery of the harbour over the last 15 years. It presents historic maps of the harbour stretching back almost 400 years. These have many hot-spots which open up as windows of information and historic pictures.

FEATURES

A series of early maps ranging back to 17th century
Maps are all to the same scale and orientation to show evolution of the harbour navigation channels and sandbanks etc.
Optional overlay allows present day map to be compared exactly to the historic charts
Optional hotspots on each map illustrate historic features of the harbour and surrounding land including Wexford town itself
A range of modern charts from dating from 2000 to the present day
A series of satellite images dating from 2000 to 2014 all scaled exactly the same for easy comparison of features and changes
