What is it about?
Whale Finder is a user based reporting app to let other people in the local area know what wildlife you have seen. The app is broken up into regions to localise the reporting. It is purpose built for whale spotting however can be used for any significant find. It gives the user the ability to include notes on where they see the animal, best viewing and even upload a photo. There are 2 levels of users, verified and unverified. A verified user is one that uses the app quite a lot and their sightings can be trusted as being accurate and current at the time of posting. Unverified means the user may be new or has not provided enough credible sighting to become a verified user.
