Ideal for Private Coaches of Cricket Academy’s, School Cricket and High Performance Cricket programs.
Why Wickets? Cricket practice can be ‘mindless’ at times in that we just bat or bowl at most sessions- going through the motions. Wickets provides an effective way to measure and track training performance, increasing accountability on players and avoiding ‘just bowling’ without a focus or purpose.
Having information about what your fast bowlers can and can’t do at training will lead to more strategic and targeted coaching and better performance in matches.
How does it work?
1. The bowler states his intended delivery eg “Yorker- at his feet” at the top of his run up then bowls the ball.
2. You then plot where the actual delivery goes eg The Ball goes well down leg side and is too full.
3. This would be marked as a ‘miss’ and would go to overall % of Yorker execution
4. Access to a tablet and your eyes and fingertips is all you need.
