WindStir App is a QR code Generator, and you can create QR Code/ Barcode (code 128)/ Aztec/ pdf147.
You can create a code as simple as possible that your scanner app or physical scanner can read. 
For an example, web site URL or item serial number. But you also use my app EyeShema to read some
specific codes from WindStir. For example, StoryTelling in Kid Story Books. "Once Upon a Time...." in English.
"故事會講到 ….." in Cantonese, or the one that Apple Support Languages with your creativity.

In fact, the readable code should be proved by the scanner you use. So, colour features of code configurations are 
optional in my point of view. Actually, colour features is my recommendation to you.
