​It’s kind of a funny story. 20 years ago, I found myself in a bit of a predicament. I was working for a trampoline events company and right before Christmas, I had to fire our trampoline builder. I needed a welder. Someone who could make 20 trampolines in 2 week’s time. Well, that person turned out to be me. I worked 75 hours a week for two weeks straight, taught myself how to weld those trampolines and since then, I’ve expanded my skill set to create everything that you see on this site, and more.

From trampolines, I moved on to fences, then custom gates and gate operators. I found a fascination with my evolving skill set as I built on top of the tools I had to create things that had never been made before.

We have a reputation for being able to create things that other fabricators say can't be done. Why? Most metal fabricators have a niche skillset. They may try to fabricate for other projects but the quality will suffer and the price will go up due to the likelihood of them having to contract another crew with more expertise to help complete the project.
At Austin Custom Metals, we have all of the expertise we need to create your dream project. We've spent the better part of two decades perfecting this craft, building our skillset, honing the tools we need to design and bring to life the best projects, projects other fabricators say cannot be done.

There are two reasons why Austin Custom Metals exists:

1. I got sick of contractors with way-too-high prices. So I learned their skill set so that I could charge far less.

2. When my wife got pregnant, I needed a change. Not only did I want to leave a legacy for our children, it was my desire to live into my full potential by growing this business for me and my family.
