Word Flurry Challenge has two basic modes of play. The first is a training mode that prepares your for the second marathon mode. In training mode, you solve words over a set time period of time. Perfect play for on-the-go situations where you just need a quick moment o exercise your brain and have some fun while doing it. Training mode is a fantastic way to play on a regular basis in short sprints to hone your word solving skills. You'll be given a summary of how many words you we're able to complete and the pace at which you did so. Your longest word streak will be captured so you can continually try beating your best.

Once you've given training a run, you'll want to immerse yourself into the marathon mode. The overall object of trying to solve scrambled words is still the same, but in this mode a shorter timer resets for each word. You can solve as many words as possible. In marathon mode you will climb through stages, giving you brief rests throughout the marathon. In marathon mode your longest streak and highest stage will be captured so you can continue to strive for new personal bests.

Word Flurry Challenge also includes some tools to help you along your training and marathons. You'll get hints to reveal letters to help you with difficult words. You have a shuffle option to rearrange the letters. You'll also have a skip function for words that you just can't crack. In addition to those helpers, you can also use a freeze to temporarily stop the timer, and if your lucky and performing well you're likely to see bonus snowflakes that will reveal gifts when tapped as they drop from the clouds.
