App Store Description

The best English vocabulary app that lets you scientifically memorize and learn English words! Want to learn and memorize English words and tired of forgetting words? All you need is just Wordmit!

Daily goal:
Wordmit helps you reach your daily goal with scientific methods!

Hermann Ebbinghaus's forgetting curve:
Wordmit knows when you start to forget a word and shows that word to you! You keep seeing a word until you memorize it. For example, your first repetition might be in 30 minutes, while your 4th repetition might be in 5 days. You usually memorize a word in the 4th or 5th iteration. If you can't remember the meaning of a word, Wordmit optionally moves it to the previous group and starts showing you more often.

Spaced Repetition System:
Wordmit uses Spaced Repetation System! Spaced repetition is an evidence-based learning technique that is usually performed with flashcards. Newly introduced and more difficult flashcards are shown more frequently, while older and less difficult flashcards are shown less frequently in order to exploit the psychological spacing effect. The use of spaced repetition has been proven to increase the rate of learning (Smolen, Paul; Zhang, Yili; Byrne, John H. (January 25, 2016) The right time to learn: mechanisms and optimization of spaced learning")

Vocabulary notebook:
Track your progress, see words and their progress, filter and/or manage words as you wish!

Word lists and categories for everyone:
Wordmit has both topic based word lists and other popular lists like Oxford 3000 & 5000 (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1...) or NGSL (1-100, 101-1000, 1001-3000...) . We are constantly adding new word lists!

Progress tracking:
Wordmit tracks your progress in many ways. You can see the progress of your week or the progress of all words and even your day! You can see and manage when to memorize a word completely!

Automatic pronunciation & pronunciation speed:
Wordmit can pronounce the word you see on the screen to you. You can adjust the pronunciation speed, you can also listen to the words manually if you want.
