What is it about?

The Washington Regional Transplant Community (WRTC) is the federally-funded, not-for-profit organ procurement organization for the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. WRTC services the 43 hospitals in the Washington area, facilitating organ, eye, and tissue donation. The WRTC Hospital Services App is designed to help hospital staff navigate the infrequent and complex process of organ donation. Through text and video resources as well as educational material, the WRTC Hospital Services App has content specifically created to provide support in real-time during donation events. One-touch calling makes it easier than ever to refer patients to WRTC and to get in contact with WRTC for any reason. With links to WRTC’s social media outlets, you can stay in touch with all of WRTC community outreach efforts. The Guidance Clips are short videos on a variety of topics that address frequently asked questions that come up during the donation process, and the Video Education offers longer format and more detailed donation information. The WRTC Hospital Services App also contains a link to a survey that allows you to provide WRTC with immediate feedback on our performance during donation events, which is invaluable for WRTC and helps to optimize our processes.
