WYKY: Watch Your Kids' Videos

“WYKY: Watch Your Kids’ Videos” helps parents better control the videos watched by their children from 3 to 10.
As parents, we created from Youtube playlists a selection of 500+ channels that we would like our children to watch in a controlled environment:
Channel management
Watch history
Time control
Educational rewards


Channel management:
Based on your child’s age, WYKY will suggest channels on which you have full control:
LIKED (by child) and WHITELISTED (in parent mode) channels will be pushed in home screen
DISLIKED (by child) channels will he hidden
BLACKLISTED channels won’t be playable. Parent can blacklist channels from all screens, including from watch history.
As channels get managed, new channels get SUGGESTED.
From the channel manager, you can search for a channel to whitelist. If the searched channel is not already in our selection, you can select a new Youtube playlist to turn into a channel that would only be accessible to you.

Watch history:
Parent can use watch history to review, for each day, the cumulated watch time and number of videos watched by the child. Parent can also identify channels to WHITELIST (so child can’t DISLIKE…) or to BLACKLIST (so child can’t watch).
Child can also use watch history to re-watch a video.

Time control:
Parent can define a daily limit beyond which player will be blocked.
When limit is reached, parent can easily add extra time if needed.

Educational rewards:
Parent can define the % of watch time on channels we flagged as EDUCATIONAL.
Child learns to manage his rewards, choosing educational channels frequently enough to avoid a situation where he/she gets restricted to educational videos...
