The Yip Yap Kids app was created to introduce young children to mobile technology in a secure, walled-garden environment, enabling parents to connect them safely to the people and content they love. The Yip Yap Kids app is WiFi enabled and managed by parents using the Yip Yap Grown-Up app on their own phone.

The Yip Yap Kids app MUST be used in conjunction with and managed by a parent/guarding using the Yip Yap Grown-Up app. The parent/guardian who manages the Yip Yap Kids app account will be required to select a subscription in the Yip Yap Grown-Up app before linking the accounts.

The Yip Yap solution combines communication, content, and parental controls. From the Yip Yap Grown-Up app parents create an Individual Private Network(™) for their child where they only have access to who and what the parents allow.

Yip Yap Kids have can securely communicate with approved contacts such as parents, grandparents, aunts & uncles, siblings, cousins, friends and other loved ones who have been invited into their network by the managing parent through the Yip Yap Grown-Up app.

The managing parent can allow or deny contacts permission to call via WiFi calling, share photos & videos, Create YouTube Playlists and more. Using the Yip Yap Grown-Up app, parents have FULL VISIBILITY and FULL CONTROL over what is on their child’s Yip Yap Kids app device.

Approved Contacts
Mommy, daddy, grandparents, auntie….the managing parent simply invites loved ones to connect and they will receive a magic link via text message. After a three-step identity verification is completed, contacts will have a secure connection to the child via the Yip Yap app.

Manage Permissions
Parents can manage the permissions for contacts and enable/disable Yip Yap features on their child's phone. Is your child watching too much YouTube? Swipe the YouTube switch off and POOF, YouTube disappears from the child's Yip Yap app.

WiFi Calling:
Kids can make and receive WiFi calls with contacts who have been given WiFi calling permission.

Chat:
Kids can send and receive chat messages with approved contacts. The managing parent has full visibility to see messages to/from ALL Contacts of their child.

YouTube:
Kids can watch YouTube videos that have been selected by the managing parent or another adult with YouTube management permission. When YouTube is streamed, there are no ads, commercials, suggested content, or search options - only the videos that have been pre-selected. The managing parent can also disable the YouTube feature completely.

Photos and Videos:
Kids can receive photos and videos from contacts with Send Photos or Send Videos permission.

Games:
Kids can play games that have been selected by the managing parent within the Yip Yap app game library. The managing parent can also disable the Game feature completely.

Timeout:
The managing parent or another adult with Manage Timeout permission can put the Yip Yap Kids app in Timeout Mode, disabling all features for 15 minutes, 60 minutes, or a custom number of hours.
