Zapped Skin is an online specialist acne service that promotes skin positivity and addresses the current obstacles that acne sufferers face to access the care that they need. Zapped Skin is led by a team of UK based specialist dermatologists who offers a wide range of treatments for acne including Roaccutane.

Zapped skin services are delivered through online video consultations and text messaging where patients can access the specialist care that they need from the comfort of their own home.

Zapped Skin platform allows patients to choose from a list of available dermatologists, book and have their consultations online, and have their treatment delivered to their home address.

Our Aim at Zapped Skin is to provide high-end contemporary care to patients at their home or office, giving patient’s welfare and comfort the utmost priority. Zapped Skin is a service that is committed to preserve and enhance its good reputation for being caring and innovative by providing a comprehensive high-quality service for acne patients in a friendly, positive and healthy environment. Zapped aim is to become a haven where acne sufferers can have specialist advise, treatment and follow ups from reviewed and vetted dermatologists.

Zapped Skin is registered with the care quality commission and follows strict policies and procedures to ensure that all its services are delivered in a safe, caring, and responsive way.

App also sync information from Health App directly into the PHR.

How it works:

Patient can access Zapped Skin services through our dedicated website where most information about services and treatment are available. The patient can choose the specialist that they want to see online and book a consultation through a video call or by sending a text message consultation to the dermatologist.

Patient who books a consultation with a dermatologist are then asked to complete a health questionnaire and high resolution which are made available to the dermatologist to review prior to the consultation. This is to ensure that the dermatologist has detailed information about the patient health and skin before the consultation takes place.

Diagnosis and treatment plan are discussed and agreed with the patient during the consultation and are detailed in the consultation letter provided to the patient and their respective GP.

Zapped Skin follows strictly the recommendations by the general medical council and the care quality commission on remote prescribing by ensuring that patients are well informed about their treatment options. Consent to have the treatment, and consent to share their treatments plans with their GP.

All patient who receives treatment through Zapped Skin platform are required to have their ID checked as recommended by the GMC and the CQC.

Zapped Skin Platform:

To ensure accessibility and continuity of care, Zapped Skin platform allows patients to have access to all their clinical notes, lab results and any prescriptions issued as well as allowing access to all invoices and charges.

Zapped Skin platform is only accessible by patients, the dermatologists and admin team that are directly involved in the patient care.

To ensure that patients are well monitored during the course of their treatment, patient receiving treatment through the Zapped platform are enrolled on a monitoring plan where patients can upload images of their skin and make regular entries regarding their health. These entries are regularly reviewed by Zapped Skin medical team.
