This course teaches you the basic principles of (Mandarin) Chinese in an effective and uncomplicated way. At a beginner level you master the grammar and vocabulary that you need in every day Chinese conversations, like asking for directions, ordering food in a restaurant, bargaining at the market or telling a taxi driver where to go.

“Zhong Wen” primarily focusses on learning to speak and understand Chinese. However, if you spend more time and energy on learning the language, it also helps you master the principles of reading and writing. The course aims at learning about 700 Chinese words in twelve lessons.
