In Zummbee, you use simple controls for steering the ship and shooting the deadly honey-eaters as you continue to fly. Pick up small bits of honey that give you a temporary shield to take out the enemies and steer through the honeycomb shaped objects to gather more points and fuel for your ship.

What is it about?

Getting a high score is your goal in Zummbee as well as finding that Super Honey. And, with Game Center support you can soar to the top of the leaderboard. The game is not overly difficult, but has its challenges. Overall, Zummbee is an enjoyable game with easy controls, attractive graphics, and zippy sound effects.

Zummbee Flies Again! is a fast-paced side scrolling arcade game with a gorgeous art design and a constant challenge for the player.

It is practically impossible to get to the end. You will have to do with a high score if you want to brag with your friends. Forget about the Super Honey: Only a few will catch it! If you are not proficient driving Zummbee, you will have to do with the small honey items that grant you a temporary shield. And beware the Honey-eaters!
They will always be there turn the game into a nightmare! But don’t despair, there is always a chance.

Story

Zummbee is a bee with a broken wing, a mutation that has been transferred from generation to generation. They say that, a millennium ago, few survived a plague of the fearsome Honey-Eaters who devoured fields full with honey. Zummbee loves honey, it is its vital energy, and that is why it fights for it. Thanks to its ship and ability, Zummbee flies again.

About us

ZUMMBEE is the result of the collaboration between Ajubel Studio and Gustavo Aranda.

Ajubel is a critically acclaimed creative artist and author with over 59 international awards in illustration and graphic design. Nowadays he teaches workshops and lectures about illustration and technology. He also leads several teams of app developers working on original projects, as well as guest collaborations.

Gustavo is the Programme Leader for Videogames Programming at ESAT (School of Arts and Technology) in Valencia, Spain. He’s also an indie game developer. For over 14 years Gustavo has wore many hats in life, combining his job in the video game industry with some teaching and research. When he’s not coding games, he’s generally composing some game music, enjoying a demo party or simply waiting for Sega to release a new game console.

Music by Lalo Narbona: University Degree in Science in Music and Antropology of Music (UCV), Teacher and Consultant. Qualified and versatile musician, currently working as a freelance teacher and performer of plucked string instruments and music theory. Conductor and arranger, executive director of radio programs specialized in jazz and early music. He has also taken part in formations with different musical styles and as a composer of soundtracks for diferent audiovisual projects, media and audiovisual companies, among them Ajubel Studio.
