In a statement released on Monday, Apple, Inc. reports that they have sold over 1 million iPhones in the three days following the release of the iPhone 3G on Friday. "iPhone 3G had a stunning opening weekend," Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs said in a statement. "It took 74 days to sell the first 1 million original iPhones, so the new iPhone 3G is clearly off to a great start around the world."
The Cupertino based company also added that iPhone and iPod touch users have already downloaded more than 10 million applications from its new App Store since its launch late last week.
