The folks over at The iPhone Blog uncovered a hidden gem in Apple's latest 2.1 firmware (or before?) -- 3D buildings in Google Maps. It appears select metropolitan areas throughout the United States have received the new treatment, rendering buildings in 3D for added functionality and purdiness.
