New Features Found In Firmware 2.2
October 7, 2008
A new report from MacRumors brings to light some new features buried in the iPhone's upcoming 2.2 firmware. Currently seeded as a beta to developers, new 'rumored' functionality includes support for Google Street View, recently highlighted on their own mobile OS Android, as well as the ability to disable the iPhone's auto-correction.
Apple merely cited "compatibility testing" as the documented changes to the 2.2 firmware, so we'll surely be unearthing more goodies as devs parse through the new frameworks.
