O'Reilly's iPhoneLive Conference Put On Hold

October 26, 2008
The much looked forward to iPhoneLive Conference sponsored by O'Reily was set for November 18th in San Jose, California, but the company has just announced that the conference has been canceled - with no sign of being rescheduled. No real reason was given for the cancelation, but in an article from MacWorld, spokeswoman for O'Reily, Maureen Jennings said, “We’re sorry to announce that we’ve made the difficult business decision to postpone the O’Reilly iPhoneLive conference...O’Reilly will continue to explore the mobile space, including the possibility for a future version of the conference." The conference was targeted at iPhone developers, those aspiring to be ones and any one else who has interest in iPhone development. The event would have been one of the fist for O'Reily since Apple lifted the NDA. Speakers would have been able to talk directly about the iPhone, something that wasn't allowed at past conferences. No sign of new dates for the conference yet, but we'll keep you updated.
