Quake Is Trying To Make A Break For The App Store

The popular game and well known jailbroken app Quake may be heading over to the App Store soon. Developers at ZodTTD have sent a free version of the game to Apple for review, and in as soon as 2-5 days we might know if it was approved.
We first reviewed the gory jailbroken version of this app back in July, and noted some serious problems with its usability, so hopefully they have been solved in the newly ported version. Despite difficulties, this game still had definite potential.
Accelerometer controls were added, but ultimately disabled, since the complex manuevering required for the game made it difficult to support.
If the app does get approved for the App Store it will come fully loaded with network play options, content downloads and much more. But, don't get your hopes up yet, we still have to wait and see.
