Kojima Productions confirmed yesterday that the new Metal Gear, which gamers have been puzzling over the past few weeks, will be released on the iPhone. Gamers across the net are expressing mixed feelings as many were predicting an Xbox 360 port of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots. Personally, I can't wait to see how MGS Touch plays, as a huge fan of both the iPhone and the Metal Gear series.

Though very little information is available about the game, gaming blogs have gotten a few details from Konami. The game will be made up of 8 stages and will be set in the Metal Gear Solid 4 world. It features touch controls, and players will be able to unlock iPhone wallpapers and themes by earning points in-game.
