Flash For The iPhone Camera

December 25, 2008
The iPhone's camera has been the focus of my attention recently, and thanks to Budi Putra from iPhoneBuzz.com I was tipped off to some more interesting iPhone camera news. SnaptureLabs has been known to improve upon the iPhone camera before, and they are doing it again. First was the release of Snapture 2.0, now the company that specializes in mobile photography is teasing us with a prototype of a Xenon flash attachment. With patents pending and the company still in search of a manufacturer, Santa won't be leaving any of these in stockings but you can get on their waiting list and be first in line when the hardware is released. You'll have to jailbreak your iPhone to use SnaptureFlash when it comes out, just like other Snapture iPhone software. Snapture boasts, "Our Xenon hardware just raised the bar another 10 notches, helping Apple to make world's most popular cameraphone even better." From the looks of things, this could be promising. We'll have to wait and see.
