Wal-Mart Will Peddle iPhone 3G

December 10, 2008
Wal-Mart will be the second major retailer - after Best Buy - to peddle the iPhone 3G. Rumors of an iPhone being sold at Wal-Mart on Black Friday proved to be untrue, but now the superstore and Apple seem to have come to an agreement. Rumors have now been confirmed that the iPhone will begin selling at Wal-Mart stores sometime in December, according to Computerworld.com. However, the timing seems iffy - some sources are reporting an after Christmas release while others project an end of the year debut. A 4GB version proved to be just a myth, but Apple will offer the 8G iPhone at Wal-Mart for two bucks cheaper, at $197. We'll just have to wait and see when - Wal-Mart still has not released an official statement.
