Apple has made it clear in the past - no "objectionable" content.
"Applications must not contain any obscene, pornographic, offensive or defamatory content or materials of any kind (text, graphics, images, photographs, etc.), or other content or materials that in Apple's reasonable judgement may be found objectionable by iPhone or iPod touch users."
The line has been blurry - or seems to have been crossed lately - with the sudden surge of flatulent themed Apps and Apple's approval of the first NC-17 rated game, Amateur Surgeon. Daniel Terdiman of CNET predicted: "Apple might not want anything to do with it, but if one thing is clear, it's that porn on the iPhone is going to be huge."
While there don't seem to be any porn-related apps available for the iPhone, there is a plethora of adult entertainment available on the Web, and a growing amount of that content is being optimized for Apple's hit device.
Terdiman spoke with porn peddlers eager to gain access to Apple's App Store while, ironically, both the Consumer Electronics Show and Adult Entertainment Expo simultaneously held their events in Las Vegas. The Ustream app, released in time to show Obama taking office, racked up more than a hundred thousand downloads on its first day. It's also, as far as I know, the first app to sneak porn onto the iPhone. The Daily News revealed that a "live sex cam" called Her G Spot TV LIVE!! was one of Ustream's "most popular videos."
