Yellowsn0w Warning

The iPhone Dev-Team issued a warning to yellowsn0w users yesterday with a video on MuscleNerd's Qik page. As you can guess, Apple's 2.2.1 iPhone software update doesn't favor jailbroken iPhones.
According to MuscleNerd, the update will "remove your ability to inject yellowsnow, possibly permanently. Your soft unlock will go away, possibly forever. The only way you should get the 2.2.1 - if you use yellowsn0w - is through custom firmware that doesn't update the baseboard."
The custom firmware isn't ready yet, but the iPhone Dev-Team say they are working on it.
MuscleNerd also mentioned redsn0w, and said that their goal is still an "untethered jailbreak" for the second generation iPod Touch. It sounds like redsn0w is still on the way, MuscleNerd said that the Touch's software update did not affect the Dev-Team's ability to jailbreak the device.
