February 7, 2009

At this point, very little is known about the carrier settings update that Apple has pushed down through iTunes this evening. Normally, carrier settings updates are small files that consist of updates to the default APN, special dialing codes, default settings for stocks, maps, weather and what have you. All that we know at this point is the update seems to be for AT&T subscribers, updating carrier settings from 2.9 to 3.1. That is it so far. Like always, hold off on the update if you are concerned until we have more information.
