Apple And AT&T Sued Again Over 3G Speeds

Apple can't seem to catch a break when it comes to lawsuits concerning the speed of the iPhone's 3G service.  Apple and AT&T have both been named in a lawsuit claiming they misrepresented the speed and signal strength of 3G on the device. The lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court, District of New Jersey by Damone Dickerson who claims that he rarely receives a consistent connection to AT&T's 3G service using his iPhone. According to Macworld, the lawsuit charges both companies with:

Negligence, Breach of Express Warranty, Breach of Implied Warranty of Merchantability, Unjust Enrichment, Negligent Misrepresentation, Violation of the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act and Other Similar State Statutes, and Breach of Contract.

Dickerson intends to have Apple and AT&T to correct its labeling and advertising, as well as the usual recovery of compensatory, statutory and punitive damages.  Because who is not in it for the money after all? We all want better coverage from AT&T, but these endless lawsuits against both companies just don't seem to be doing the trick. [via Macworld]
