Daily Show Airs Video Of Apple Stock Manipulation

March 13, 2009
Whether you think Jon Stewart's Daily Show is engaging entertainment or not, yesterday's episode is a must-see, especially for Apple fans. Jon Stewart invited CNBC's Mad Money host Jim Cramer to the show to discuss a few matters including, but not limited to, how financial analysts are able to control stocks. A specific clip was aired showing Cramer, in a December 2006 interview, explaining how it was very important to spread the rumor that neither Verizon nor AT&T liked the iPhone along with the fact that it wouldn't be ready for Macworld. Cramer explains that it was an easy task because the media wanted the story. He said that since Apple is an extremely tight-lipped company, they wouldn't confirm or deny any of the rumors making it an easy target. There is much more to the story, but hearing it from us doesn't do it any justice. I highly recommend watching yesterday's episode in its entirety. The matters that were discussed are relevant to all of us in this current economic crisis. The entire episode is available free to watch at thedailyshow.com.
