No iPhones Or iPods Allowed In Gates Home

March 3, 2009
Imagine if cost wasn't an option. Where no single item would be out of your financial reach. One would assume that's what it would be like to be the offspring of Bill Gates, but that wouldn't be entirely true. There is one thing they can't ever own or bring into the house and that's an iPhone or an iPod. According to an interview with Melinda Gates from this month's Vogue, the Gates home must stay iPhone and iPod free:
"There are very few things that are on the banned list in our household. But iPods and iPhones are two things we don't get for our kids."
See, it's not all easy being rich. Mrs. Gates herself even admitted that she sometimes wonders what if:
"Every now and then I look at my friends and say 'Ooh, I wouldn't mind having that iPhone."
Don't feel bad, they probably get all the Zunes and Xbox 360s they could ever want. Anytime you are feeling sad just remember, there is one thing that the Gates family will never own, and it's something you can. Now go out and buy yourself a new iPhone or iPod just because. [via Geek Sugar]
