Rock Your Phone App Store Now Open

March 16, 2009
Now that Jay Freeman has broken the ice with his Cydia Store without any known threats from Apple, it's time for the rest of the pack to file in as promised. Rock Your Phone is another alternative application store for your iPhone that just recently opened its doors for business. Once you sign up for an account, you should be able to get applications up and running in as little as five minutes whether your iPhone is jailbroken or not. The store currently offers only five applications for download, but we can only assume many more are to come. The store currently accepts Paypal and all major credit cards to purchase applications. Your credit card information isn't required during the initial sign up process, allowing you to install their desktop client without any further commitment. Rock Your Phone also allows you to download and try applications for up to ten days for free. The Rock Your Phone store's desktop client is currently in a beta state. Some folks have reported a few bugs and issues, but nothing that should raise any alarms. If any of this has piqued your interest please stay tuned, we should have a full how-to article for users wanting to get the Rock Your Phone application store running on their iPhones in no time.
