Apple App Store Downloads Hit 1 Billion

Just 13 days after Apple posted their countdown page to 1 billion downloaded apps from the App Store, the magical number has been hit - 1 billion apps have officially been downloaded. As you can see on the official content page, Apple says "Thanks a billion". The exciting news everyone is waiting for who exactly won the grand prize and downloaded the 1 billionth app? Was it you? Was it me? How many of you downloaded more apps than usual today in the run up leading to the 1 billionth download? I'm sure we can expect Apple to announce the winner shortly so in the meantime, congratulations to all the developers out there who have made the App Store the success it has been over the past 9 months!
