Apple Approves Baby Shaker App Then Changes Mind

Once again the App Store approval powers-that-be seem to have let one slip through their already questionable process, according to an article over at MacWorld. This week, an app titled Baby Shaker was approved and available for download in the App Store. The problem? The app involves shaking a baby until red X's appear over the baby's eyes! The outrage from parents and children's groups was so great that when reached for comment yesterday, Apple said that they had removed the app from the App Store.
It's amazing how certain apps and even updates to apps get rejected for the silliest of things but apps like Baby Shaker seemingly glide through the approval process. One of the greatest mysteries of our time is the people behind the App Store approval process. I'd absolutely love to get a look at some of these people's bio's.
The company behind this terrible app, Sikalosoft, could not be reached for comment when MacWorld attempted to reach them and at the time this article was written, their web site is offline. I wonder why.
