The Red Bull Air Races have taken place since 2001, and they were initially conceived as a way to merge flying with some of the more exciting elements of racing.  Developer Artificial Life has taken the idea a step further by releasing Red Bull Air Race World Championship Lite Version as a way to bring you the experience of racing a plane through air gates without the risk of destroying yourself. redbullairrace_screen2 Red Bull Air Race World Championship gets you as close to the real experience of competitive air racing as possible without actually being there.  The game offers two tracks that were modeled after the official San Diego and Abu Dhabi events.  It also gives you control of high quality 3D race plane models that are fully customizable, and the iPhone's accelerometer controls give you the realistic feel of actually piloting one of these bad boys. If you are even slightly curious about how low altitude aerial racing feels, give this one a try.  Red Bull Air Race World Championship Lite Version is available at the App Store for $.99.
