New Match-Three Game 'iso' Offers Up Something Different

April 13, 2009

If you are a fan of the match-three genre, you probably are in love with your iPhone and the App Store. The App Store contains tons of great match-three style games and iso looks to add to that list. Recently released by developer Jacob Shwartz, iso claims to offer a unique take on the match-three experience. The game puts you in control of colored falling blocks where you must match three or more like colors to score points. iso contains 8 different colored blocks that can be matched vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. The game becomes progressively more difficult as the blocks stack higher and higher. iso also contains an automatic save feature which allows you to exit at any time during the game without losing your progress, encouraging you to play whenever you have a free moment. As you can see from the screenshots, iso contains a very clean and colorful look.  The controls are fairly simple as well, sliding your finger across the screen left or right moves the pieces, while a simple tap rotates them. iso is available at the App Store for $.99. The developer is currently working on adding a online leader board so you can compare scores with people around the world.
