NIN Application On Its Way To The App Store

April 7, 2009

Nine Inch Nails fans already have an application available at the App Store that allows them to get their NIN fix and it's called Nine Inch Nails Revenge.  It seems like that just wasn't enough because Nine Inch Nails lead singer Trent Reznor has decided to bring iPhone users even more love with a new application that was showcased today on Wired and Digg. The application will allow you to access all sorts of content related to the band directly from your iPhone.  You will be able to check NIN news, watch videos, view photos from the band as well as fans, and even listen to streaming music.  All of this content will also be formatted for easy viewing on our iPhone.

The application will also contain built in social networking features that will allow you to connect to other fans.  The NIN application will use the iPhones GPS to find users as close and as far away from you as you wish.  From there, you will be able to view another user's profile, content, and general information about them to see if you want to socially interact. Whether you like Trent Reznor's music or not, you have to give him some credit.  Instead of trying to profit off of NIN fans, he is giving all of this away for free.  It's not like this is a stripped down, rushed out the door application either.  It seems like a lot of thought and effort was put into its creation. The application should be available any day now, so keep your eyes peeled. Do we have any readers that are NIN fans out there who are giddy with excitement for the release of the NIN application?
