Plush Steve Jobs Is Just Too Adorable

April 3, 2009

With all of the Apple lawsuits and constant swirling rumors, the news can get pretty overwhelming around here.  I am going to veer away from actual news right now to show you the most adorable version of Steve Jobs I have personally ever seen. PodBrix has been designing modified "minifigs" since early 2005.  Most of the creations have been crafted by hand and  have been offered in limited quantities.  Designs have included a re-creation of the famous 1984 Apple commercial, a Woz playset, and even an iPod shuffle holder.  It has been nearly two full years since they have released a new product, but the wait seems to have been well worth it. PodBrix is now offering a handcrafted Steve Jobs Plush doll, complete with the iconic black mock turtleneck.  The doll measures 17" tall, and it costs $27.99 plus applicable sales tax and shipping.  PodBrix has produced 500 of these dolls and has stated they will be creating more if the demand is high enough. We decided to contact PodBrix creator, known as Tomi, about where he received the inspiration for the doll.  He said a comic strip parody of Jobs in Mad Magazine did the trick.  He also says that the project has been a resounding success and they intend to produce more of the units when the initial order runs dry. Just to be clear, this is not shameless advertising.  I have personally been a fan of PodBrix since their inception and when I noticed they were back to producing lovable Apple creations I just couldn't contain my excitement.  I wanted to share this with our readers because you have to admit, Plush Jobs is absolutely adorable, right?
