It's all about the camera videorecording_screen Thanks to one of our very own writers, we were able to catch Apple on quite a large gaffe when they unintentionally posted a job listing that contained references to an iPod with a camera.  The offending portion was later removed, but we still have images to prove it!  The iPhone OS 3.0 beta also had a few camera related news headlines this week because of a developer from Austria who spotted some unused art resources that indicate possible video editing tools.  The next day, MacRumors found their very own proof of video capabilities in the beta release. Bigger, stronger, faster broadcom_bcm4329 Apple obviously wants the next-gen iPhone to be much faster, so they are forcing AT&T to have their 7.2Mbit/s system fully operating no later than May 31st.  But who needs faster 3G connections when there is evidence that Apple will be utilizing Broadcom's new 802.11n chip for speedier WiFi access?  With all of that speed, the iPhone needed more storage, so Apple ordered 100 million 8Gb NAND flash chips for the rumored next-gen hardware. The countdown to 1 billion begins coldplay Apple started their official countdown to 1 billion application downloads, giving away a huge prize package of Apple products to one lucky winner.  The market research firm comScore released their list of the most downloaded applications and the leader is Tapulous' Tap Tap Revenge.  Not one to rest on their laurels, Tapulous' released a new version of Tap Tap Revenge solely dedicated to Coldplay. Google's many updates gmailwebapp Google's many web applications are some of the most functional, well thought out web applications we have ever seen, but they only keep getting better.  Google released updates to both their Gmail and Calendar web applications, adding the ability to do certain activities offline as well as a few other nifty goodies like their self described "Floaty Bar." 3, 2, 1... commercial time thereisanappforthat Apple released three brand new television commercials, and instead of spreading them out over a few days, they unleashed them on us all at once.  The commercials showcase some of the best iPhone applications out there, with each commercial utilizing a common theme.  Since Apple unleashed them all at once on us, we put them all in one post just for you.  Happy viewing.
