Week In Review - April 3rd Edition

Welcome to Week In Review. From this point on, every single Friday we will be recapping the most important news from the entire week so you won't have to go digging around to find it. SlingPlayer Mobile coming to the App Store SlingPlayer Mobile for the iPhone was submitted to the App Store, but it didn't stop there. Sling Media also decided that in order to use their unreleased application, early Slingbox adopters would have to purchase one of the three brand new models of the Slingbox. iPhone OS 3.0 beta 2 released Apple released the second version of their iPhone OS 3.0 beta software. Not long after, iPhone OS 3.0 beta 2 was jailbroken, but not by the iPhone Dev-Team. One eagle-eyed user was able to spot that developers can not be associated with jailbreaking in any way, shape, or form. Macworld 2010 to begin in February IDG World Expo decided to push Macworld 2010 back from early January to February 9th-13th. The move was made to cater to exhibitors, attendees, media, and the fans of the event. The decision was a no brainer since Apple had announced that they had attended their last Macworld in 2009. Official Skype application finally arrives The long awaited official Skype application was released to iPhone users with much fanfare. The application made it all the way to the number one spot on the free applications list, but was hit with a large number of poor user reviews stating the application was constantly crashing. The issue ended up being isolated to jailbreak users, and Skype specifically stated in their application description that they won't support a modified iPhone OS. Cuddle with Steve Jobs Yeah, that's right, real men do cuddle. PodBrix has created a handcrafted plush doll of our favorite Apple icon, Steve Jobs. The overly adorable Plush Jobs doll stands 17" tall, and will play nicely with all of your other giant corporation CEO dolls, that's if you have any. The first run of Plush Jobs is limited to 500, but since they have been received so well, PodBrix intends to make more in the future. The rest of the news:
