Yahoo! Messenger. Yes, there are other applications available that allow you to utilize Yahoo's messenger service, including Yahoo's own
oneConnect, but this application is a no muss, no fuss direct link to your messaging needs.
The free application gives you the ability to chat with your friends who are also on Yahoo! Messenger as well as the ability to send photos and links. One other basic feature is the ability to change your online status. Plus, from the looks of things, it doesn't have any ads like that
other free IM client.
If I were to guess, Yahoo created this application for the more simple iPhone crowd. Those who want a basic interface that allows them to do exactly what it is they set out to do. Me, personally, I am going to stick with a full featured IM client like
BeejiveIM.
