Bed Bugs - Adorable New Casual Game From Creators Of Dizzy Bee

May 14, 2009

Igloo Games isn't one of those developers who releases games at the App Store just to get them out there to make some quick cash. They spend a lot of time ensuring that their games are polished to perfection upon release so gamers won't have to wait for an update just to be satisfied with them. Their new game, Bed Bugs, is no exception. Igloo Games hasn't released a new game since Dizzy Bee 2, which was way back in December 2008. They technically only had three titles available at the App Store up until today, and they were all Dizzy Bee related, so it is nice to see them getting back into the swing of things. Bed Bugs is a basic casual game with tons of graphical and musical charm. The game is simple in that you must protect the sleepwalking person from all of the creepy bed bugs by squashing them. If enough bugs get through, your sleepwalker will wake up and you will lose. Bed Bugs contains 28 unique enemies that must be exterminated in their own special ways. Some may require you to tap and hold, while others may require a simple flick. You must figure out each one's weakness before it's too late. The action is a bit slow paced at first, but once it picks up, you better have your fingers ready. The real draw of the game is its polish. The graphics are smooth and adorable, and even the enemies look cute in their own way.  Bed Bugs contains five unique music tracks, plus the some crazy sounding effects when the bugs are squashed. Bed Bugs is now available at the App Store for $1.99. If you are a fan of casual, pick up and play games, you might want to check this one out. Embedded below is the gameplayer trailer for Bed Bugs.
