It seems as if Capcom really didn't try to create much hype for the newly released Resident Evil: Degeneration for the iPhone.  We barely even knew about it, let alone any details, but how much more needs to be known other than that the App Store now has a Resident Evil title to go along with its now many other big name titles?  The name truly speaks for itself. residentevil_screen Resident Evil: Degeneration is based on the CG-animated film of the same name, which is actually based on the series of games, if that makes any sense. Resident Evil: Degeneration for the iPhone is also a port of the N-Gage version, which was released late last year. The game takes place seven years after the tragedy in Raccoon City, which is where the original game takes place, in an airport that is overrun by zombies.  You must rescue the remaining survivors, unlock puzzles, and battle the undead.  The game features some decent graphics, and it utilizes the third-person shooter style gameplay that has so far proved itself on the iPhone and iPod touch.  The game's controls are the usual on-screen d-pad with a bit of accelerometer controls, like the ability to shake off zombies by shaking your device and tilt to reload. Resident Evil: Degeneration is available at the App Store for $6.99. Are any of you hardcore fans of the series going to be picking this one up today?  If so, head back here to tell us what you think of the game.
