EA Drops Pandemonium Price Less Than One Week After Its Release

May 5, 2009

The news of a permanent price drop for a game should always be positive, but that may not be the case for some early adopters. Pandemonium was released for the iPhone and iPod touch on April 29th, which is less than one week ago from today, at the price of $4.99.  Pandemonium has now dropped in price to $2.99, which is joyous news for anyone waiting to pick up the title, but could be irritating news to those who have already purchased the game at full price. The iPhone version of Pandemonium is a port of the original game that was released for Sony's Playstation way back in 1996.  The game puts you in control of two different characters as you make your way through 18 unique worlds, and it features the usual platforming elements with on screen directional pad-like controls.  Basically, if you are a fan of old school platformers, Pandemonium is your game. Pandemonium is now available for $2.99 at the App Store.  Just as a reminder, this isn't a sale, it is a permanent price drop just like EA did with SimCity only a few days ago.  This may simply be a case of EA realigning their pricing scheme for their wide array of games, or it may be that Pandemonium wasn't selling as well as expected.  Either way, a price drop so soon after a release is bound to fire up some folks.
