picture-7A couple weeks ago we were ready to publish a review of Twitterrific when we found out 2.0 was on its way. So we decided to hold off and review the updated version. Well, Twitterrific 2.0 (link opens in iTunes) just went live and it's packing some serious power. Twitterrific was one of the first Twitter apps in the App Store. It had an elegant and easy to use interface made by the design gurus at the Iconfactory. While exceptionally beautiful, Twitterrific has been overshadowed in recent months by the likes of Tweetie and Twittelator when it comes to functionality. With 2.0 though, Twitterrific gets a redesigned user interface along with the ability to manage multiple accounts, search and see trends, shorten URLs, email tweets and filter the timeline so you can see only replies, direct messages or favorites. There's a bunch more cool features and a lengthy list of advanced settings too. As always, Twitterrific is available in both free and paid versions. The free version is fully-featured but has an occasional advertisement and Twitterrific Premium is being offered at half the cost of the original. Now it's only $3.99, putting Twitterrific right in between feature-rich Tweetie and Twittelator Pro. You can check out our review of Twittelator Pro here. Stay tuned for an in-depth review of Twitterrific 2.0. From what I've seen so far, it has most of the killer features of Twittelator in a very well-designed interface. If you try out the new Twitterrific let us know what your Twitter app of choice is going to be.
