Get Ready For Some Intense Water Pumping Action With Watercule
May 27, 2009
Watercule is a modern take on an old kids toy. If you can recall, it's the one where you fill a tank with water and then constantly press a button which propels plastic rings up the tank in an attempt to get them around an object. We highligthted some of its more unique gameplay elements in a preview about a week ago, and it is now finally available in the App Store.
In Watercule, you must propel multiple balls up the screen by tapping the lower portion of the screen, which acts as your water pumper. You can maneuver the balls by tilting your device from side to side in order to obtain the most points.
Watercule contains three different game modes, including Timed Mode, Attacker Mode, and Levelizer Mode. Time Mode requires you to get the highest score possible in the time allotted. Attacker Mode starts you off with three lives and you must get the highest score possible before you run out of lives. Finally, Levelizer Mode has you moving from level to level by obtaining a certain amount of bananas, but you must be careful because there are only a certain amount of bananas per level.
Magoaten has already submitted version 1.1 of Watercule, which fixes a few bugs, adds the ability to turn sound on and off, and adds a pause feature. They are also already working on version 1.2, which will add more modes of play along with a few other treats.
Watercule is available in the App Store for $.99.
We have included the same gameplay video from our preview of Watercule just in case you didn't feel like following the earlier link.
