There is nothing worse than hearing a really great song, but not knowing some of the lyrics. Most of us have been there, you know when you are singing along to every word, and you come to that certain part of the song where the vocalist decides to mumble for no apparent reason. You end up just sitting there, racking your brain, trying to figure out what in the world the lyrics could possibly be. Developer Tarento Software has just the solution, they have created Lyrics for the iPhone specifically for these types of situations. Lyrics allows you to quickly and easily search for lyrics to your favorite songs. Lyrics uses the comprehensive LyricWiki database, which features over 700,000 songs, and more are added each and every day. You can search by song or artist as long as you have an Internet connection. You can also save songs as favorites for those inconvenient times where an Internet connection isn't available, so you can always be prepared. During my short time with the application, I decided to search for songs and bands that I figured it couldn't possibly contain the lyrics to, but to my amazement, it did. The only downside is that the application features a profanity-filter implemented by Apple's request, so songs with naughty lyrics will show up, but it will not display the lyrics. Lyrics does, however, contain a not-so-hidden Easter egg that allows you to disable the profanity-filter, which will make the application that much more useful. Trust me, it's easy to find. Lyrics is now available at the App Store for $1.99.
