iPhone OS 3.0 Beta 5 Unofficial Jailbreak Released

Can't live with a non-jailbroken iPhone running the latest OS 3.0 Beta (5)? Well we've got good news. The unofficial Beta 5 jailbreak has been released. Like the previous unofficial jailbreak releases, Icy, not Cydia, is the only installer utility that is included with this release because Cydia is still not ready for prime time. If you've really got to get your jailbreak on, head over to the ModMyI.com forums and be sure to follow the instructions carefully so that you don't mess anything up during the process. Since we're dealing with beta software on two fronts, the OS itself and the jailbreak software, expect the unexpected if you're willing to take the dive. If nothing else, jailbreaking can at least provide you a means by which to poke around the file system of the phone and let you see if there is anything of interest.
