So Many Games, So Little Time...

That's an understatement...I figured this week I would talk about the massive amount of games that have been released this week. The amount of quality stuff that is now currently out there is staggering to say the least. I've been so busy trying to catch up with everything that I haven't been on Xbox Live in almost a week! Blasphemous, I know.
To start, I'm not going to list every game that has been released this week. There was just too many to count, so please don't crucify me for forgetting this game or that. What I am going to do is mention some of the games that I feel deserve a little more spotlight because let's face it, there's some really amazing stuff out there right now and if you're on a budget, what games are worth the price?
I guess that's where I come in. I think my personal favorite of the bunch for this week has to be Top Gun. Based on the film of the same title, this game is just awesome. It has a few minor issues, (and let's face it, what game doesn't at this point) but at the end of the day it's a great game.
Super cheap and it even has some of the music from the film that we've all come to know and love over the years. If you liked the movie, this game is easily worth the $1.99.
Need For Speed Undercover is here and with hardly any warning. It's coming out, it's not, it's got issues, pushed back...then bam! It's released out of nowhere. I'll be honest. The game looks great. It really does. The gameplay is also really good as well.
Unfortunately though the game doesn't give you much control. It basically accelerates constantly for you so you don't have much control over the car like you do in the console version of the game. Not a huge deal, but I was a little disappointed. The price on this one is steep, so I might wait for a Lite version first.
The film is weeks away and the game is here right now! Yup, Terminator Salvation has arrived and it looks and sounds incredible. This game is an amazing achievement in terms of the graphics and gameplay.
The only issues? The controls and length of the game. It's very short and the controls are a pain in the neck to get down. It is fun and I can only imagine how much more enjoyment you'll get out of it once the film hits theaters. I enjoyed it and feel it's worth the price, but it does have it's issues.
Assassin's Creed is another game that hit the app store this week. It's basically a prequel to the hit game that came out for the 360 and PS3. The story and gameplay are amazing as is the graphics and sound. This is made by Gameloft, same guys that made Terminator Salvation. Can't wait to see what they come up with next.
Again, it has some of the same issues as Terminator, but the game delivers where it counts and I feel it's another one that is well worth the price of admission. Especially if you're a fan of the original game that has come before it.
As I said, there has been a lot of games out this week. EA alone has released title after title this week almost like clockwork...crazy. These are by far my top choices of games to check out this week. My last bit here is to talk about Pocket God and it's recent update: The Tyrannosaurs Strikes Back!
As always Bolt Creative delivers the goods and the recent update is no exception. If you haven't picked this game up yet...what are you waiting for? For one, they are upping the price after the next update. Two, it's amazing and they update the thing constantly. I've never seen a developer so intent on giving its customers what they want.
So that's the lowdown this week. I'm interested to see if next week is anything like this one. I know I missed some other stuff, for one Myst, which is good but I feel these here are better. On that note...what games have you recently tried that you've liked? Let's here what is good and what's not. I'm curious to see what you guys are into, especially games not on the top 25 list. Either way, see you next week.
