Team Of Apple Executives To Deliver WWDC Keynote
May 13, 2009
Instead of allowing even more rumors to circulate the web, Apple decided that today would be the perfect time to announce that Steve Jobs won't be delivering the World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) keynote address this year. Instead, Apple announced that a team of executives, led by Phil Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide product marketing, would be running the show.
Historically speaking, the keynote address has always been Steve Jobs' thing, but ever since his bout with pancreatic cancer, he has had to relinquish that role and allow Apple's deep team of executives to pick up the slack. Steve Jobs is still slated to return sometime near the end of June.
Phil Schiller and company are certainly no Steve Jobs, but with all of the rumors about what is in store, it really won't matter too much who is presenting. The WWDC '09 kicks off with the keynote address on Monday, June 8th at 10:00 A.M. Don't miss out on all of the fun.
