They're here...

May 26, 2009
poltergeist So I guess this will be more of a news article than anything else, but when I say what I have to say I don't think you will care. Ever heard of a small little company called Capcom? Well guess what? During a speech at the Reuters Global Technology Summit in Tokyo, Capcom Cheif Financial Officer Kazuhiko Abe announced that Capcom has over ten games planned for launch on the iPhone in 2009! Yup, you heard that right. Capcom is going to give us over ten different titles by the end of the year. That...is...awesome! Get the rumors started because they unfortunately did not name which titles they are going to be releasing. Of course they didn't. That would be too easy. Bah! Either way, it's good news for any Capcom fan! mega-man So far Capcom has given us the recently released Resident Evil: Degeneration and Mega Man II this past March, among others. A review for Mega Man II can be found here by the way. Capcom has a giant list of games at its disposal to choose from. One can only imagine what they have in store for us. Me? I hope we get something like a Street Fighter game or Devil May Cry for example. I personally think Devil May Cry is tailor made for the iPhone, but that's just me. Perhaps 1942? What do you guys think? What games would you like to see from Capcom?

App Pick of the Week

rollercoasterrushSo I just found out that Rollercoaster Rush has been brought to the iPhone by Digital Chocolate. Once again another great title by this developer. There is a free version and a $2.99 version as well. Basically you are in control of the speed of the roller coaster and have to make it to the end of the track without crashing the cars. Sounds easy right? It's harder than it looks and incredibly addicting.

Retro Game of the Week

So three weeks running and still, nobody has figured out what this game is...awesome! Last week I gave the clue that you pilot a F-14 Tomcat. This week, I will say that the name of the aircraft that you pilot in the game is also part of the name of the game. Confused? Good! As always, tell me the name of the game and the system it was on. Good luck and see you next week. retro1
