Flight Control has to be one of the most addicting, low-cost games available for the iPhone and iPod touch. The game is simple, just land as many aircraft as possible without causing a mid-air collision. It sounds easy, but once you crash and burn, you instantly just want to try and better your previous score. With the addition of Firemint's cloudcell technology, the game has become even more addicting by allowing you to compare scores and rankings with players around the world. That brings us to the point, what is the highest attainable score in Flight Control?
The short answer to that question is that we really have no idea. The difficulty progression of the game eventually comes to a standstill, so really the only reason a game ever ends is because of a simple mistake. Most of you out there who have played Flight Control already understand this more than anyone. You can be moving right along, cruising by your highest score by hundreds of points, and then all of the sudden, you make that one silly mistake and everything ends. It's infuriating, but that's the name of the game.
What we can tell you is that someone has at least hit the 10,000+ mark, and from the looks of things, is still going strong. A user on YouTube simply known as "wjdforme" has posted a video proving that such a score is attainable. The video begins at about 10,505 and plays for over three minutes without crashing. wjdforme doesn't even rub his ginormous score in our silly faces, he simply states that he is still going and will post a final score when he finally crashes. Up to this point it has taken him about a week to get to 10,000+ points by playing a couple of hours each day and using the auto-save function. We will try to keep you posted on what the final high score ends up being.
